Review
Jicklus is one of the best ways to improve the look of Minecraft while keeping the familiar Minecraft feel. Unlike many popular default-improvement packs such as Faithful or R3D Craft, Jicklus manages to keep the same resolution as default, yet giving the game its own unique style. The design of blocks and items is similar overall, but not to the extent of a default upscale pack such as Faithful - thus feeling simultaneously familiar and fresh.
The most noticeable way that Jicklus differs from the default textures is in its smoother and cuter aesthetic. It can also be described as rustic, but in contrast to most other rustic packs, it is not dark and grimy. This may not suit everyone, for example those seeking increased realism or a gritty aesthetic – but for those who like this look, it’s perfect. It’s a well polished pack, complete with all textures and frequently updated to the most recent version. It comes highly recommended.
